SHAWN FIELDS

After launching Silicon Valley's very first new artist discovery platform, Getsigned /Garageband in the mid '90s (some 5 years before American Idol), Shawn Fields went on to build award-winning, interactive media properties for multi-platinum artists Cheap Trick, Everclear, the Smashing Pumpkins, and more. In 1999, he earned an MTV nomination for "Best Artist Website" (*the first and only year this category existed) for his Smashing Pumpkins website during the Adore/Arising Tour period.

He would later join music retailer Sweetwater as VP of Marketing, overseeing their brand, content and video initiatives. A lifelong musician and sampling fanatic, drumatica® is the culmination of over 25 years of sampling technology R&D that he obsessively continues to perfect.
