For the WAV files - he’s included mix-ready stereo “presets” called “Natural” and “Rock” that include room & ambient mics mixed with the close (direct) mics at his preferred levels – in these 2 styles, “Natural” (minimal room, minimal processing) and “Rock” (punchy, roomy and typical of one of his Rock mixes for bands like Foo Fighters and Switchfoot).  With these stereo presets, you really don’t have to bother with, say, blending bottom snare mics with the top mics, or wonder just how much overhead or room ambience to add – Darrell’s done all that for you, and mixed on his favorite analog console with his favorite EQs and go-to compressors! We’ve also included Slate TCI files with individual microphones (Shells-only).
